Welcome to our site. We are a small kennel occasionally
producing home reared puppies.
We have puppies available at the end of August. They arrived on 26th June 2011.
See the puppies page for more information. We are very excited. We are involved in
showing, working, agility and obedience with our
dogs. Flo and Dora our Italian Spinones have been busy since
our last update. Flo has been back showing off again with Dora. Dora did us
proud by getting 1st in her class at Crufts 2010. Since then she has proven her qualities in Adult classes
more recently a 1st Place in Post Graduate at Manchester Championship Show narrowly missing out on her first
reserve ticket but qualifying for Crufts 2012 at first opportunity. From the
same litterJoe (Boxlock Finlay)has now won 7 Green Stars becoming an
Irish Champion. He is now looking foward to attain further titles in UK and Europe.
Trella (Boxlock Florence) who lives in California and was an American Champion at 11 months
is now an American Grand
Champion. She was from the same litter as Dora and has had her first litter of pups in
America too. We are over the moon with how well they are all
doing.
With regards to puppies
,Flo is having a much deserved rest, and we are looking at
breeding from Dora. This planned litter should have pups available to
new homes in August 2011. As always we have a list of prospective new
homes already but do get in touch if interested.

Over the years the Boxlock Kennel has been home to different breeds as
pets sharing our homes.
At this time we own two Italian
Spinone Bitches, Flo and Dora that are active in the show ring.
Florence (Bannonbrig Painted Lady of
Boxlock), or Flo
for short, is our 1st Italian Spinone. She was bred by the
Spencers (Bannonbrig Kennel) in Wigan. She can be a handful
especially with the thought of a walk put in her head but generally a
calm and gentle dog. She pretends she is independent but loves nothing
better than a good fuss. She does agility and obedience. She is also
our first dog that we have 'shown'. She qualified for Crufts
2009 getting third in her class and had a litter
all within a year. She has had two litters in total and is
looking forward to strutting her stuff again next year.

Dora (Boxlock Flora) is from Flo's 1st
litter. She is a character of course and possibly
had some mountain goat genes put in somewhere demonstrated by
her climbing antics. She qualified for Crufts 2009 in her first show
and then again for 2010 where she just achieved 1st in her class qualifying for2011. She
has now qualified for 2012 after gaining a 1st at Manchester Championship Show. Some of her litter
